On Saturday, October 25th, from 3pm to 7pm, Southern Tier Brewing Company in Lakewood will be the site of the first Oktoberfest to benefit St. Susan Center... featuring local beer provided by the brewery; delicious "brat" from Farm Fresh Foods; great music provided by Dirty Mountain Band; and it's all under a tent provided by Jamestown Awning. Just $3 per beer or "brat". Tickets will be available at the door.
    As the economy continues to worry us all, let's not forget those who were already struggling just  to put food on the table. The number of people being served at the soup kitchen is up 27% this year; more than 97,500 meals were served by the end of September. This event will help St. Susan Center continue to provide nutritious meals to Jamestown's neighbors in need AND it's a great way to celebrate the wonderful fall season and the generosity of this community!
